Metal Preparation and Welding

ABT Products provides complete metal preparation and welding services to support the manufacture of high-quality components, safety structures and assemblies for OEM programmes. With a broad range of in-house CNC capability and experienced welding expertise, we can efficiently process materials from raw sheet and tube through to accurately formed, production-ready parts.

CNC machining and preparation

ABT’s workshop includes equipment to support precision cutting and machining, helping ensure parts are produced consistently and to specification.

  • CNC mill for accurate machining and finishing work
  • 6kW Trumpf laser with capacity for 4m x 2m sheet size and up to 25mm thickness
  • CNC combination Amada laser/punch for efficient profiling and punching (up to >6mm)
  • Guillotine, saws, drills, presses and plasma cutting to support a wide range of preparation requirements

This combination of equipment allows ABT to handle varied part profiles and material types, supporting both specialist fabrications and repeat production.

Forming and tube manipulation

Where forming is required, ABT has the capability to bend and shape parts accurately for assembly and integration.

  • CNC EP press brakes up to 100t x 3.5m
  • Tube manipulation (asymmetric) up to Ø150mm

This supports strong, repeatable forming for structural parts and complex fabrications, particularly where accurate geometry is critical.

MIG welding and fabrication

ABT provides MIG welding to support structural fabrication and assembly work across a range of products and components. Our welding capability is integrated with our preparation and forming processes, helping maintain control over quality, alignment and consistency from first cut to final fabrication.
